Notice to Stakeholders

Destruction of Special Education Records

 

Joint School District #171 would like to notify students and/or parents of students who were born in 1998 and graduated in 2015 or 2016, that the special education records that have been kept on file are no longer needed to provide educational services. Therefore, in compliance with the local school board approved District Policy: Retention of District Records, Policy 8605, these records will be destroyed. Destruction of these records is the best protection against improper and unauthorized disclosure. 

 

These files will be shredded June 3, 2022. You may request these records before then by directing your request to:
