Driver Education Instructors are Cindy Beck,  Elaine Cook ,Claudine Zender, Jake Maetche, Rhonda Norland and Jan Holzer.

Driver Education classes are held for students in Joint School District #171 who are at least 14 1/2 years old by the first day of class. Usually there are two classes held at OHS; one in the winter and one in the summer. THS has one class which is held in the spring and runs through the first part of the summer.

Steps to enroll in Driver Education (need to wait for sign-up announcements):

1. Be at least 14 1/2 years of age
2. Enrolled in School
3. Pay district fee of $105 to OHS or THS
4. Obtain learners permit at the Drivers License Department. When obtaining your learners permit you  need to bring the following:
     a. Picture ID
     b. Social Security Card
     c. State Certified Birth Certificate
     d. Enrollment Compliance (from OHS or THS)
     e. Receipt (from OHS or THS)
     f. $18.50
     g. Parent or legal guardian needs to be present (court documents verifying guardianship).
